Green Lake Community Center Pumpkin Hunt
In This Post
Tonight - October 22nd and next weekend too.
The Green Lake Community Center is holding a Pumpkin Flashlight Hunt Friday October 22, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. The event is for children ages 1-11 but there will be ghoulish fun for the whole family.
Kids will hunt for coins and candy outside the Green Lake Community Center and should bring their own bag to collect goodies, plus a flashlight to find neat stuff. There will be different age groups, and different areas for hunting. Be at the gym no later than 6:45 and WEAR YOUR COSTUME!
My Green Lake reports that there are two Evans Pool (at the Green Lake Community Center) events coming up next week.
Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, 7-8 p.m.
Evans Pool Fall Pumpkin Swim - The swim is FREE, the theme is Fall Harvest, and the atmosphere is FUN! Join our staff for our celebration of fall and our community! There will be pumpkins, games, prizes, and best of all … YOU!
Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, noon – 2:30 p.m. Also FREE
Evans Pool Harvest Potluck - Come and gather with the patrons, staff, and community of Green Lake! We will set up the pool with tables and chairs; you’re welcome to bring a dish to share, and maybe a story or two. Be prepared to make a friend and enjoy some great food!
The community center is located at 7201 Green Lake Dr. N and the phone is 206-684-0780. This is a free event sponsored by the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department.

This sounds like a great event for the kids Glenn................an evening of supervised fun.
Roger - I wrote this post before the event last week and forgot to take it out of draft mode. Fortunately there is more fun for this weekend.
That's a pretty novel event -- should be great fun!
Looks like a great time, I absolutely love that shot of the web, great job,
Tish - The pumpkin swim has some real possibilities.
Gerry - The web was on my front porch the other day! We've a spider heavy fall.
Bring the flashlight to find the goodies.. now that does sound promising!
Judi - I'm sure it's a good time.
Good local splash. Like the early Internet image you posted Glenn.
Andrew - A few broken links, but good enough for that day's meal.
I hope that’s a Halloween spiderweb and not a real one. I’m not a fan of spiders.
Jim - It's real.
Awesome spider web, Glenn! It's huge! Id be a little freaked out to stumble upon that - especially on my front porch!
Debi - We've had tons of spiders with giant webs all fall. Must be something in the air.
